JED Surveyors collected Topographical and Utility data for the preparation of AS-Built Maps for Starlight Park, Bronx River Greenway. In addition, the JED Surveyors established independent Horizontal and Vertical Controls using Total Stations, Digital Levels and GPS. These Survey Controls were needed to check the Contractor’s horizontal & vertical survey controls that were used for the project and to monitor various retaining structures during construction. The project included the construction of E. 172nd street pedestrian bridge over Amtrak, and the South Greenway pedestrian bridge over the Bronx River as well as new drainage, retaining structures, street lighting, landscaping and bike & pedestrian traffic patterns.
