NYCDDC – HWQ-724B Wetland, Brookville – Edgewood Triangle Area in Queens, NY Contract SERCWSRV2/201A

JED Engineering & Land Surveying provided Best Management Practices (BMP) surveys for the New York City Department of Design & Construction (DDC) and NYCDEP. The survey data obtained was used to set Horizontal and Vertical Controls and prepare Topographic & Wetland maps. The surveys covered 7.7+ acres of wetlands in specific areas in the Borough of Queens known as the Brookville-Edgewood Triangle.

The following work orders were issued:

CROSS-SECTIONS:
All stream beds within the site, including the large stream at the southerly end were cross sectioned top of the bank, bottom of the bank, and center line on a 5-10 grid. The rest of the site was cross-sectioned on a 25’ grid. In addition, all abrupt grade changes were also located and cross-sectioned.

TREE LOCATIONS:
All the trees with a 2-inch radius and higher were tagged and located.

WETLANDS DELINEATION:
All flags delineating the wetland limits were located. The survey was done in the NAVD88 (Vertical) & NAD83 (1986) Horizontal) Datum using GPS, Digital leveling and Total Stations.
