Land Surveyor Survey Project Manager (Virginia/DC area)

JED Engineering and Land Surveying, PC is currently seeking in the Virginia/DC area a full-time Survey Project Manager with a Virginia Land Surveyor License. Candidate will assist in the growth of a survey group, hire staff, meet with clients, manage the daily operations of said group including managing and overseeing survey field work and performing quality control and quality assurance reviews, and managing various land survey and construction staking projects from planning and scheduling, through submittal.  Other duties include reviewing submittals, assisting with proposals, and ensuring survey projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Candidate will be required to sign/seal survey documents as a Licensed Land Surveyor.  

Candidate must demonstrate:

• Experience in Property Line Determination.
• Experience processing survey Traverse Field and GPS data. LiDAR experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to use Survey CAD software.
• Ability to manage schedules and direct work for multiple projects
• Experience with various surveys such as boundary, topographic, utilities surveys and construction stake outs.
• Good communication and presentation skills

A Washington DC surveyor license in addition to the Virginia Surveyor License is preferred, but not required. 

Field experience of minimum 5 years and supervisory experience of minimum 2 years required.

Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience.
• Ability to use Survey CAD software a plus.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, utilities surveying and construction stake out.
• Must have a valid New York Driver’s License.
• No Land Surveyor License is required,  but having a License in any state will be a plus

Full-time / part-time CADD Technicians in our New York City office.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience.
• Ability to use Survey CAD software a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or Micro-Station.
