We are currently looking for competent, qualified persons with the following experience to fill positions that will be available in the near future:

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING

Electrical Inspectors:

We are currently seeking Electrical Inspectors to provide project support in our construction management and resident engineering inspection divisions. The Electrical Inspector’s primary responsibility will be to provide field inspection services on Sandy Recovery projects for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).

  • Candidates shall possess an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 7 – 10 years of field experience with a strong background in electrical power related to residential projects: Standby generators, ATS, service feeds, main switchgear and house distribution
  • Shall be proficient at reading and understanding design plans, specifications and shop drawing submittals, including power distribution single line diagrams, electrical floor plans, electrical site plans, motor control centers, instrumentation and controls, generators and transfer switches
  • Must have the ability to work independently and possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to interact and work with others as a team.
  • Solid background and working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Excel and Word, database systems, and other basic office software

Office Engineers:

We are currently seeking Office Engineers to provide project support with the construction and reconstruction of public building projects for a number of clients including NYCDDC, NYCSCA and NYCHA. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist Project Manager/Resident Engineer with his responsibilities.
  • Document control and project administration.
  • Obtain responses to requests for clarifications, change orders and submittals from contractors and keep a log of such request and submittals.
  • Coordinate and track all project plans and drawings.
  • Prepare and maintain project records including weekly and monthly status reports.
    Qualifications 
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management  is highly preferred
  • 5 to 10 years in construction management experience.
  • Experience with New York City Public agency projects preferred.  DDC a BIG plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, is a must.

Assistant Project Manager:

We are currently seeking Assistant Project Managers to provide project support with the construction and reconstruction of public building projects for a number of clients including NYCDDC, NYCSCA and NYCHA. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, Architects/Engineers and Contractors.
  • Support the Project Manager with the day-to-day project management operations of the assigned project. Ensures the quality and high standards of contract performance and compliance in all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Assist in the process of investigation and resolution of design and construction issues.
  • Review design documents, change orders, punch list, payment requisitions and contracts.
  • Efficient change order management and cost control.
  • Review and approval of contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
  • Review completed work by contractor and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain project records including inspector’s daily reports.
    Qualifications 
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is highly preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of construction management experience.
  • Experience with New York City Public agency projects preferred. DDC experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage inspection staff and construction trades to meet project schedule.
  • Broad knowledge and experience with schedules, project costs and budgets.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple teams and/or projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, is a must.

CIVIL ENGINEERING

Inspectors:

  • Water Main – Trunk and distribution mains construction
  • Sewers
  • Highway – Roadway reconstruction, milling, and asphalt resurfacing
  • Bridges – Bridge rehabilitation and bridge painting
  • Building Construction/ Reconstruction – Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Inspectors
  • Building Construction/ Reconstruction – Construction Inspectors
  • Special Inspections
  • NYCDCC, NYCDOT, and/ or NYSDOT experience preferred
  • NICET, ACI, and NACE certification, OSHA, Confined Space training a plus
  • Computer skills- Site Manager, Visio, Microsoft Office a plus

Asphalt and Concrete Inspector (NICET II): 

              • We are currently looking for an inspector with NICET Level II certification in Civil Engineering Technology-Construction Materials Testing Asphalt and Concrete. He/She shall also possess at least three (3) years of experience in the quality assurance program Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Concrete plant production

Office Engineers:

              • NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/ or NYSDOT experience required
              • Building Construction/ Reconstruction Experience required
              • Minimum 5 years experience required
              • Computer skills- Site Manager, Visio, Microsoft Office a plus

Resident Engineers:

              • NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/ or NYSDOT experience required
              • Building Construction/ Reconstruction
              • P.E. license required
              • Minimum 5 years experience required

Community Construction Liaisons:

              • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Other languages a plus)
              • NYCDCC, NYCDOT, and/ or NYSDOT experience a plus
              • Computer skills- Microsoft Office at minimum
