Resident Engineering Inspection Services for Rehabilitation of Pedestrian Ramps at Designated Areas, Brooklyn

JED Engineering was retained to provide Construction Inspection services for the installation of pedestrian ramps in the borough of Brooklyn. The project is located in various locations throughout Brooklyn near Brownsville, East New York, Crown Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant and more. The limits of work were confined to the following community boards In Brooklyn NYC: 1, 2,3,4,6,8,9,14,16, and 17.

Project involved but not limited to:

  • Installation of approximately a 3’ to 6’ wide by 1-1/2” deep pavement key in the roadway along proposed curb and in additional areas.
  • Installation of Pedestrian ramps with pigmented and unpigmented concrete sidewalk embedded preformed detectable warning units and steel faced concrete curb. A total of 704 pedestrian ramps were installed.
  • Installation of approximately a 3’ to 6’ wide by 1-1/2” deep wearing course in the roadway adjacent to new curb, and in additional areas.

Construction Cost: $11.5 M
