RWX020 – RETAINING WALL, JEROME AVENUE BRONX, NY

JED Engineering & Land Surveying provided surveying services for the rehabilitation and replacement of the concrete retaining wall adjacent to Jerome Avenue northbound, after 196th Street; a distance of approximately 800 feet.

Survey services were required for the preparation of As-Built Drawings using sewer and highway specs.

Sewer Scope: All sewer hardware was located showing distances center to center and rim & invert elevations.

Highway Scope: Profile of East Curb of Jerome Ave. from E. 195th Street to E. 198th Street, West Curb of Parkview Terrace from 196th Street to Morris Avenue, and East Curb of Parkview Terrace from E. 196th Street to Morris Avenue was established by taking elevations at 50 foot Intervals, Top of Curb, Bottom of Curb and Back of Sidewalk. In addition, vertical measurements at the top of curb at Pedestrian Ramps and PC /PT were taken.

All street lights, catch basins and hydrants were located.

All elevations were computed in Bronx Highway Datum which is 2.608 feet above Mean Sea Level (1929).
